Traditional Japanese Culture Workshop Enjoy ”SADO”, Japanese Tea Ceremony in a Traditional Folk House!

We are going to hold a Traditional Japanese Culture Workshop on “SADO”,traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony in July, featuring a performance by ‘Sado’lecturers. The venue, the traditional “Shiiba”folk house  was built about 150 years ago, and is a prefecturally-designated tangible cultural property. Enjoy  traditional Japanese “SADO” in a relaxing atmosphere!

What is “SADO”?

Sado is a Japanese traditional etiquette of preparing and drinking tea, and initially called ‘’chayu’’and was originally developed from China. Although the main purpose is to enjoy tea,

However, the manner, performance, tea equipment, tea room, and the decoration of the tea room are also important and aspects of the art as a whole.
