This issue of Plaza News marks my first anniversary being its editor! Yeah!!! But nah, celebration is not on the plan. For I am sorry to say this will also my last. By the time you read this, I may have already left Miyazaki for home in Singapore. Having enjoyed three magnificent years here, it's really hard to bring myself to say goodbye. Frankly speaking, it wasn't all easy to cope with life here: I remember how I had to brave the freezing morning winds of winter as I rode my bicycle across the bridge of Oyodo river to get to work, how I had to collect water with buckets from my leaking apartment ceiling in the typhoon, and how I still have problems with garbage disposals and more〓they are not necessarily unique personal experiences, and I believe most of you would have shared my agony. But every time I look up at the sunny skies, the lush greenery and deep blue ocean of Miyazaki, I cannot feel happier! I cannot say I have lived the fullest of my stay here, but I am so grateful for every single day! And without friends I have made here, Japanese and foreigners, the memories could not have been better! It's funny how I came to Miyazaki on a "mission" to promote internationalization, but instead gained and has become more internationalized myself! With this short message I cannot express well my gratitude and overwhelming emotions of three years, but allow let me to say a big "ARIGATOU"! 〓 to all my friends and Miyazaki, thank you so much for making my memories of you so ever wonderful. p.s. Come visit Singapore!!! Just see it for yourself!
